Sage to laptop

SUGGESTED

I am needing to down load sage onto my laptop or be able to access my accounts when I am on the road.  I have a chromebook and am wondering if there is a way to get it onto this type of laptop

The easiest and less costly way would be to save your backups to a cloud location accessible to both the laptop and desk top computers. You will have to restore your back up file to the computer you wish to use and then back it up again and store back to your cloud location. It is not recommended to store your data in the cloud and run the program from there.

The other option, which is the one I use for all my clients is Remote Data Access. You need the most current version of Sage 50 with a support package that includes this application. (there are other benefits as well.) In this case your data is stored in the cloud in a format that is easily accessible and designed for working with Sage 50. your data is always accessible, with appropriate passwords, and a copy of Sage 50 on the computer you are using. This is great for Road Warriors and vacationers alike.

    Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out. Most of our software is designed for the Windows operating system and only tested on this. Unless it's a cloud native software like Sage Accounting, you'll likely need a virtual Windows environment or software like Parallels in order to be able to use a Chromebook or Apple OS to run any of our software that requires direct installation on a computer. Hope this helps.

    Warm Regards,
