The program will only let you modify what the program will let you modify.  The Project Name is not something that can be put on a PO/Customer Quote/Sales order or Customer invoice unless you type it into a line on the PO if you are using the internal forms designer.  You could use the last shipping address field but it will disappear when you move to the Purchase invoice screen.

i just changed the ship date to project name. but i can' t seem to save any of the changes. i go the set up, forms, customize, make the change but how do i save it?

I think you are confused by what you are attempting to do.  When I double-click the Ship Date field (the xx's and y's beside the label Ship Date) I do not see Project Name as one of the options you can use to change the field data.  Therefore I can only assume that you double-clicked the text label for the Ship Date field and changed the words Ship Date to Project Name.  If so, then all you did was label the Ship Date from the PO so that the vendor thinks the ship date is the Project Name.

Are you saying that when you make a change and click the OK button at the bottom right-hand side, you are not prompted to Save the form?  If so, then you must be using an older version of the program and you must use File, Sage As to save the form with a new name.
