Sage 50 2011 was tested on Windows 8 and prior. Which Windows are you trying to install this program? While there is no guarantee it will work on any given set up newer than what was tested, Windows 10 and Windows 11 have been known to work with Sage 2011.

There are two places where you may have the required files on your older computer. C: Sage > has all the installer files for each year that has been previously installed.  the second is C: Users > Public > Public Documents > Sage Software > Simply Accounting > Download > SA_2011BCP1.exe..  You will also need to use the updates SA_2011xCPUP1.exe where x is C, D, or E depending on which one was last in use for your Data.

 'SA_2011DCPUP1' is available in the old laptop from the software download folder. But, when try to install, its giving error '1628 Failed to complete installation'. while in installation process.  

Not sure how to make this installation work on the new Windows 11 laptop. Please advice.

SA_2011DCPUP1 is an update to SA_20110CP1. You will require the full program to be installed before the updates can be utilized. This is probably why you are getting the error.

If you have the full program SA_20110CP1 install it, then run the update.
