Data Integrity issue

I am having a Data Inconsistencies error.  I have Total Debits: $9,955,587.37 and Total Credits: $9,967,360.18 how do i find the inconsistencies in this and i also have Vacation Pay Balance $109.79 that needs to be cleared out and its not balanced with the Vac Pay owed.. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks

    When you look at your Retained Earnings for the start of this year and the sum of Retained Earnings and Current Earnings combined for the last day of last year, do you see the same difference or are they the same?  If different, the problem likely resulted from the year end transition and you should be able to get Sage Tech support to correct it with a Rebuild by phone.  Get a backup before you call.

    If not, then check the trial balance column totals for various dates until you can find the imbalance starting.  Then double-click each account to see the General Ledger report to see if the total is the same as the Trial Balance total for that account.  If you find one that is different, then you likely have found at least part of the problem.  Fixing this may require a data repair but that can't be determined until the cause can be narrowed down.  I don't recall if the Tech Support rebuild will correct this issue or not if it is just a cumulative total issue.

    The Payroll Vacation pay imbalance indicates that the total on the balance sheet does not match the total of all the Vacation Pay combined for each individual employee in the Payroll module.  You need to determine which number is correct.  Then make sure the individual Employee records are correct first.  If they are, then you can unlink the Vacation Payable account and post an entry to correct the balance sheet amount.
