Yes you can but it does not float with the number.  You would have to put it at the far left of the dollars near the labels to account for larger dollars.

Do not do this if you invoice in foreign currencies (see image below).  It will confuse the display of the dollars.

If you bill in foreign currency I usually recommend a text description somewhere near the totals indicating "All amounts are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise indicated."
