 Thank you for reaching out regarding the error message you're encountering while trying to open a company file using Remote Data Access (RDA) in Sage. This issue occurs when the company file, created in a previous release, is being accessed by another user in that previous release. To resolve this issue, you have several options:

Update to the Latest Version : Make sure all computers using Sage have the latest update installed. This can be crucial for compatibility with RDA. Instructions on updating can be found under 'How do I update my version to the newest version?' on our support site.

Re-download the File : With the latest version installed, re-download the problematic file. Guidance for downloading a company file shared with RDA is available in our help resources.

Restart the Connection Manager : On all computers, restart the Connection Manager. Detailed steps for doing this in Windows 10 are provided in our support articles.

Check RDA Company File Directory : 
 
 Log out of Sage 50 on all computers. 
 Inspect the RDA company file directory on each machine. If the company file is in a synchronized folder by any service (like OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.), move the RDA file to a new folder, for example, C:\Sage 50 Data\ . 
 Open the RDA company as sysadmin on the main computer. 
 Ensure that the RDA company opens with all options available: Single-user, Multi-user, and Read-only. 
 Check that other computers are functioning correctly.
