    Hi  ,

Thanks for reaching out. To track whether the invoicing received is over the amount of the issued purchase order (PO), Sage 50 Canada does not have a direct alert system for this specific scenario. However, you can use a workaround to keep track of the PO numbers and associated costs.

    Here’s what you can do:

    1. When creating a transaction, open the Sales Order or Sales Invoice window.
    2. Enter the PO number you’ve received from the supplier in the Message field, or add it under the Item Description column on the next line below the last transaction.
    3. To keep track of the invoiced amount versus the PO amount, you may need to manually compare the totals. You can use the reporting functions in Sage 50 Canada to generate reports on issued POs and match them against the invoices received.

If you are consistently encountering invoices over your PO amounts, consider implementing a routine check before processing payments. Unfortunately, Sage 50 Canada does not automatically alert you when an invoice exceeds the PO total. Keeping a close eye on the invoices as they come in and comparing them to the POs may be necessary.

For a more automated solution, you might explore third-party add-ons that integrate with Sage 50 Canada, which could provide additional functionality such as alerting when an invoice exceeds a PO amount.

Please let us know if you need further assistance or have additional questions.

    Warm Regards,
