Yes.  Assuming it is really a Simply Accounting version, then it is from before 2014 so you will need to install the trial version of the Sage 50 2015 version on your system first and upgrade to it.  Then open the file in Sage 50 2024.1.

Upgrading is as simple as opening the company *.sai file in the appropriate version and allow the program to do the upgrade.

You will need to get a backup of the file from the accountant and restore it on your system using either Sage 50 2015 or 2024.

Then open the *.sai file in Sage 50 2015 and allow it to convert.

Then open the same *.sai file in Sage 50 2024 and allow it to convert.
