I am wanting to change some forms around, but it is telling me that all my forms have been corrupted, so I can't change anything. Is there somewhere I can re dowload the forms?

    Hi  ,

Thanks for reaching out. Did you ever find an answer for this issue? If you haven't found a solution yet, heres some guidance that may help.

To locate your form files within the Sage 50 program, our Sage Knowledgebase provides two methods for finding a form file. These steps might be useful in recovering your corrupted forms:

    1. Method 1:

      • Start Sage 50
      • Go to Setup, Reports & Forms, and choose the appropriate form.
      • For Printer Form Settings or E-mail Form, copy the address in the 'Form' field and follow the address to find your form. If the form is not there, it may have been moved or deleted.
    2. Method 2:

      • Open Sage 50 and navigate to Setup, Reports & Forms.
      • Choose the form you're interested in and note the form name and its extension (should be .sfm) at the end of the address in the 'Form' field.
      • Use this information to search for the file on your computer.

If these methods don't resolve your issue, consider customizing new forms or modifying existing ones by following the guide in our previous communication. For detailed steps on both finding and customizing forms, please refer to How to find a form file in the program and How to customize forms.

Hope this helps, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you need further assistance.

    Warm Regards,

    Erzsi

Thanks Erzsi, none of that worked, it just keeps telling me "You have selected a Sage 50 form file of another form type, or the Sage 50 form you have chosen is corrupted". I was not able to change any.

  • This likely means you have tried to use a customer invoice (invoice.sfm) as a sales order (salorder.sfm) or a payment cheque as a payroll cheque, etc.  It would be unlikely all your forms are corrupted.

Can you give us an idea of what you are trying to do?

Have you tried the default form to see if it still works?

  • I was trying to make the paystubs have a little more information( YTD & Vacation pay owing), but I just left them as is.. we are a smaller company so I will just use what I have...

  • Using what you have is one way to go about it but you have come here asking for help.  If you give us a bit of information about what you are trying to do, what you have been doing, etc. we might be able to help you.

Using what you have tells me there is at least one form not corrupted.  But we don't know what form it is or how you are doing your printing.  If you gave us some information about the settings, name of the form etc. we might be able to help.

For example, below is an image of the default paycheque information regarding the vacation pay.  This is from the Custom Form settings Description Payroll Cheque with YTD totals - 2 Stubs - Easy Align with the name payrlch07.sfm.

Is this the information you need?  If so, which form are you currently using?
