unable to open companies

Question

Desktop computer decided to install microsoft one drive and try to share files with another desktop, after that I am unable to open my 2 companies in simply since the files are somehow tagged by the one drive sharing. 
 I have removed the one drive program, and the simply company files appear to all still be there, but still will not open with Simply 2024

 Thank you for sharing your issue regarding opening your companies in Sage 50 after attempting to share files with another desktop via Microsoft OneDrive. It appears the problem you are encountering is due to the company file access being locked because of syncing with a cloud service. 
 According to our article content, when company files are stored in a cloud-synced folder (such as OneDrive), it can prevent Sage 50 from properly opening these files. Here are the steps to resolve this issue:

Locate your company files. The location of these files can be found on the screen used to open the file in Sage 50. You need to move the .SAJ folder and the .SAI file. The .SAI file usually has the Sage 50 logo on it and may or may not display the .SAI extension. The .SAJ folder will have the same name as the .SAI file but will have the .SAJ extension.

Move these files. Right-click on the .SAI file, copy and paste it into a folder that is not synced with the cloud. If you are unsure which folders are being synced, you can create a new folder on your C:\ drive. Then copy the .SAJ folder and paste it in the same location.

After moving the files, you should be able to open the company file from the new location.
