Pro forma invoices in Sage 50 Pro Canadian edition

Hi, I have Sage 50 Pro Canadian Edition, 2022.4,  and I am trying to create a Pro Forma invoice but there does not appear to be any way

of doing this.  Has anyone solved this problem?

  • Hi Canoeman,

Sage 50 doesn't have a Pro Forma invoice transaction type. However, it does have transaction types that may be able to fill that role. Sage 50 has three transaction types that can be used for sales transactions and then later converted into invoices.

In order they are Sales Quotes, Sales Orders, and Delivery Orders. Sales Quotes and Sales Orders don’t make changes to on hand inventory or generate journal entries. Delivery Orders are only available in Sage 50 Premium and higher, but they do make changes to inventory and accounts when posted.

You can edit these transactions and, when ready, convert them to invoices. You may have to customize a form to get it to look like you want it. For more information about Sales Quotes and Sales Orders, take a look at our article here.

    Thanks,

    Chris Parrish
