 Is the new Sage 50 Educational Program is a replacement of Sage 50 premier Desktop and both will retire as of December 31, 2024. Thank you

 Thanks for reaching out. The new Sage 50 Educational Program is indeed the go-to resource for learning and teaching accounting with Sage 50 software. It is not a direct replacement of Sage 50 Premier Desktop but a version tailored for educational purposes. The Sage 50 Educational version is valid for 14 months after registration and is meant for use in an academic setting, specifically designed for students and educators involved in accounting courses. 
 Please note that the 2021, 2022, and 2023 educational versions were retired on March 6, 2024. It's important to ensure that you're using the software version corresponding to the year provided in your membership email from the Sage Education Alliance Program. Also, remember that product updates should not be downloaded for the educational version.
