about changing server for Sage 50 Accounting

Dear all,

Before, we had installed the Sage 50 Accounting in a Windows 2008 Server and used Remote desktop to use it.

Now, we would like to migrate the Sage 50 Accounting to a new server.

I have some questions:

1) Can I use the current serial number to the new installed Sage 50 Accounting and activate it?

2) If I can activate the new installed Sage 50 Accounting, will there be any problem to the current installed Sage 50?

Please kindly help.

1) Yes. The 'server' part that handles the database (Connection Manager and MySQL server) does not use a license.

2) Probably not right away, but if you continue to exceed the total number of licenses for that serial number you may get shut down because you would be violating the license. The Connection Manager monitors and manages each active license by serial number connected to that server.
