Ok I have been at this for hours.  I am a computer technician so I am used to this sort of thing but this is getting excessive.  I have been asked to solve this problem.

Absolutely clean for spyware/malware.  Running avast and that comes up clean as well.  Cleared all temp files, run "autoruns" program to see that there were no other spyware misconfigurations.

Uninstalled the program and update of course.

Uninstalled Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 and tried both 64bit and 32bit versions of both Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 and 2010, no avail.  2012 is the one that gets loaded by default when installing sage 50 for the first time.

Anything else that can be suggested?
