how come we just got updated the version but still receive the renew notice?

do we have to pay something every year or every two year for renew Sage? we have used Sage from the year 2013 and we just got the updated version last week but today still receive the renew notice. why? is it a virus?

If support is not paid for either annually or on a monthly subscription then you will no longer be able to use the Payroll Module. All other modules will still work. Your tax tables will be out-of-date and the forms printing for all Payroll forms will be suspended. If using payroll it is very wise to maintain your support subscription.

Unfortunately, if the subscription is not renewed all of the Payroll module will stop working. Working manually for payroll would mean using a general journal to make the entry in Sage and manually completing the T4 forms from another source like the CRA's Web Forms.
