Duplicate Entry - Client

I am on a shared system (2 Computers) and when I enter a client or quote or add customer it says I have duplicate entry.

We are able to add customers on the front counter system but not the office system- and they are being shared.

The office sage program will allow me to adjust a current customer but not add a new one
