unable to log in

SOLVED

I have been trying to login all day and keep getting the same message.

"Sage Business Vision control file for company is being used by another user.  The company selected cannot be accessed by Sage Business Vision at the present time".

There is only one person able to use it and that is me and the program is not open on my computer.  I have shut down my computer several times and still get the same message.  Help please.

If only one user can log in after an upgrade, it's possible that the temporary licenses have expired, and the permanent Actian licenses have not been installed.

    Here's what you can do:

    1. Check if the Actian licenses have been installed. If not, you'll need to install the Lanpack license for Actian. You can do this by running launch.exe from the installer and following the steps to install the license.
    2. If the licenses are in place, perform a Pervasive/Actian Communication Test. Depending on the test result, you may need to restart Pervasive on the server, change the Listen IP address, or reinstall Pervasive.
    3. If you encounter errors when opening the BVCON.FIL in Function Executor, you'll need to check user permissions, the number of licenses, and potentially reinstall Pervasive or Sage BusinessVision.
