Hi Peter,  Please check in the vendor module, under Purchase Information tab, the Last payment date may contains invalid date.  If it does , you can export and import into that field with a valid date or do a payment on the vendor account and then void.

What is the user privilege on the machine that this error is happening?

In Windows, the user has administrative access as a local user.    In BV, the user has priority level 9 which is the highest.  Under the Access section, most of the check marks are applied so I don't believe it's an issue with access.

I read a bunch of articles stating that BV is sensitive to power related issues so as a precaution I hooked up the troubled computer to a battery surge UPS to see if this will make a difference.

Any comments would be appreciated.

There is one thing you might be able to try and "Turn On DEP for all programs and services except those I select" and put the Sage BusinessVision Launcher in there.

           (System Properties, Advance Tab, Performance Options).

Dont know if it would help or not.

Error code 240 has long been an issue with BV especially with heavy users and they cannot seem to get it fixed.

This error code was discussed a number of times in the old forum.

There was a suggestion that the type of network card used in the workstations can cause the issue.

Thank You for the information, are you able to link or point me to the old thread mentioning this issue?  I was not aware that certain types of network cards can cause this issue, I am interested in specifically which type / brand of network cards and what feature that is causing it.

Peter, this happened before the new forum was set up, so I do not if old threads were kept or how to locate them. Suggest you contact Walter Muma at Wildwood as he was the one that seem to know about the network card issue.

I'm having the same error, trying to enter anything in BV for a date in February.  It was working fine up until today, and now anything I enter with a February date, will generate the error:

Execution error : file

'C:\BusinessVision\BCClass.lbr\BCSYSDATE.int'

error code: 153, pc=4929, call=1, seg=0

153  Subscript out of range

Any ideas?

FYI - I was able to get the error to go away by doing a Year End.  Our fiscal year end is the end of February, (wasn't trying to post in March, just in February), but doing the year end for last year has made the error go away.
