Adding Contractors

Hello! I've used QB for a few years now, but have never liked it so I'm testing the waters to see if Sage is a better fit for my needs.

One thing I'm not sure how to do though is add contractors. Should I be adding them as a vendor, or would I need to add on payroll functionality? I don't have employees, only contractors. And I don't have (or even want to get/add in) a contractor's SIN - I want to be able to add them as a contractor plain and simple.
