How to Export VAT return to Excel

Question

How do you export details of a vat return (Box 1-9 values) to excel ? - I imagine this should be an easy one but I cannot seem to get there. 
 VAT-Send to Excel just sends a list of all the VAT return totals to excel as opposed to specific vat return details. 
 Have I got to create a Report?

Hi Ian, 
 Thanks for using Sage City. 
 To export your VAT return to Excel, once you&rsquo;ve calculated the VAT return and the correct figures are in boxes 1 - 9, you can click Print VAT Return and run the VAT return report to File . Run the report as a .xml .xlx or .csv file and you&rsquo;ll then be able to open the file in Excel.
