For the Company I work for, it would be enormously useful to have the ability to add a new type of special message line that sits at the top, or somewhere in the product/service invoice, but that, when filled in, displays in the 'Details' field - rather than a consecutive list of the product/service items that currently appear.
This is because we have a very highly itemised product and service line that we need to process on invoices for reporting purposes. This is not usually relevant to the customer and it would be better for them if they could see a custom narrative that describes what they are being invoiced.
E.g. Instead of 'Service Item 1, Consultancy Hours Package, Equipment Test - 5' etc. being listed in the Details of their invoice, the Details could instead say 'Routine Services Contract' or something similar - entered by putting a special 'M' or otherwise line on the invoice somewhere.
This would help again when we send remittances as, at the moment, we have to use the e-mail template option because it just says 'Goods/services' next to each invoice number.
The main remittance template pulls in the product names from the invoices in the details - but for us this means it pulls in a great list of items, where I would much prefer the ability to have it pull in a custom message - such as " Services Contract 2019 - 2020"
