Sending Pension Data monthly data not showing

I have been using Sage Pension module for over a year now, linking to Nest Pension. In the last 2 months I have had an issue with my monthly submissions and have had to resort to manually inputting the data into the nest website. Not great when I am paying for the pension module with sage. Whenever I try to 'Send Pension Data' for my monthly employees it does not return any data. I make sure the process date is set to the 'last update' date. However the pension data returned is only showing the weekly contributions. I have been unable to send the data for my monthly employees for both April and May. I have checked all of the 'files created' in the Exported Files History folder and I can see no monthly files have been created, however it will not create a file for monthly. This has only happened in the last 2 or 3 months, I had previously successfully exported the monthly files.

    NEST have recently introduced two new payment frequencies in their online portal to align with tax periods; Tax Weekly and Tax Monthly. If you pay your employees weekly or monthly, and your worker groups aren't already set up with NEST to use these new frequencies, you should create the new groups now.

    We recommended that you did this before the end of the previous 2015/2016 tax year on 5 April 2016, so you won't need to set up new groups at the beginning of each tax year.

    However, even though we’re now after 5 April 2016, you can still make these changes in your Sage 50 Payroll software to enable your Send Pension Data files to be sent to NEST. Full info on how to make these changes here.

  • I was already setup with these periods, therefore I did not need to make any changes.

    Even if your employees were already set up to be paid monthly, we still recommend that you change your groups to the new NEST pay frequency of tax monthly, otherwise what you're experiencing can occur.
