How do you make up basic pay for an employee who's receiving COVID sick pay?

SOLVED

As I understand it, the make up basic pay function only works for employees who are receiving normal SSP (or other forms of statutory pay). Is there a way to use the function for COVID sick pay, which needs to be entered as a manual payment to be applied to the first 3 days of absence? Or would I have to manually adjust the employee's wages to split them between sick pay and other pay?

    Hi Lowri,

    Thanks for using Sage City.

The following guide will take you through the steps on paying SSP for Cornavirus related sick pay: Covid SSP

This does not answer my question.

The link only describes how to add a payment for Coronavirus SSP, and add a new absence record category to track this. I already knew how to do that, and have processed Coronavirus sick pay for other employees previously.

The link doesn't explain how to MAKE UP BASIC PAY for an employee who is entitled to full pay regardless of absence, and has been self-isolating due to suspected COVID. The make up basic pay function only works for employees who have SSP or other statutory payments such as SPP.

    Hi.

Sorry about that. You would just need to use the another pay element to manually make it up to basic.
