Pension Data Exchange Issues

SUGGESTED

Hi All,

We run the payroll for 4 Companies using Sage50 Cloud Payroll. This problem is affecting all Companies at present.

A bit of background, I updated our Sage50 Cloud Payroll at the end of last month before running the Sep-21 payroll. Nothing seems to have changed except the way Pension Data is submitted, Sage now asks us to use the Pensions Data Exchange. I've set this all up and created an Account, and then followed the on-screen instructions to submit the Pensions Data directly from Sage rather than downloading the Maintenance & Contribution files. For each of the 4 companies, I submitted the Pension Data on 01/10/2021, and saw that the Submission moved from the "To Send" into "Awaiting Confirmation" category, requesting me to check back later. It's now 4 days later (05/10/21), but it's still showing under the "Awaiting Confirmation" category with the status "Preparing your data. Check back here later for progress".

I've spoken to a Sage adviser earlier on the webchat who advised me to restore a backup and try re-setting up the Pension Data Exchange, which I've tried but this has also not worked. In fact, against the one Company that I tried this with, I'm now unable to open the Pension Data Exchange at all, I simply get a message saying "Retrieving Data from Sage Pensions Exchange" but nothing happens, it just stays on this screen.

So to sum up, I have 3 companies where the Pension submission is stuck in the "Awaiting Confirmation" category, and a 4th company where the Pensions area of Sage can't seem to retrieve the data from the Pension Exchange.

Please can someone offer some guidance and a solution to these queries. I'm conscious we're approaching the monthly deadline to submit Pensions data, so if there's a way to manually download the Maintenance & Contributions files, please let me know and I can do this as an interim fix for this month before trying to resolve the overall issue.

Thanks,

Nafeel

    Hi Nafeel,

Thanks for using Sage City Slight smile

I notice this query hasn't had a community response.

With Maintenance files being involved I believe The Peoples Pension would be the pension provider there - if so the first step would be to get in touch with them and check your account with TPP is set to receive pension data electronically, as I understand there may be a setting for this with them.

If this does not resolve the matter then it would appear that the data between Sage and the pension provider is not able to flow. It is unusual that this would occur on all 4 companies from when first set up in PDX (Pensions Data Exchange), so I would suspect there may be restrictions in your computer's security software getting involved. To address this possible cause it would be ideal if all URLs in this Help Centre page could be whitelisted, to ensure they can be used by the program. Following this, please complete the steps to refresh the pension provider accounts in this Help Centre page and check Send Pension Data again. Below those steps on that support page is a link to complete a form where the issue continues - please complete this too if you reach that stage as this will then be investigated by Sage experts to check for any issues in the background of PDX.

For support beyond these steps, please get in touch with Sage technical support Slight smile
