Hi Rhonda ,
please contact technical support for this one. This indicates it's trying to communicate with something, with reports the most common cause of a load issue is unable to find a printer which can cause it to keep trying.
Try a report you would not normally use and has no last run date and if same it would suggest your default printer is unable to be located
Hi Steve, we have installed the update but we are still having issues uploading online reports, I'll get in touch with support and ask for you as you suggested
We are having the same issue. Partially updates some of the employees records and then closes abruptly! Its been happening for the last 5 weeks now.
I've had crashing problems for a while, well before V29, installed the fix update but no better.
Just to say I have been having issues with payroll crashing for quite a while, before V29
Yeah, i dont think its related to any version as such, its always happened and still is, also still having issues with the pension assessment and certain records not exporting. Again nothing to do with the version its just sage in general.
Definitely just Sage in general, I wish they would get to the bottom of it and fix it, it's very time consuming when it happens.
Sure Sage will fix eventually, My PC's are solid as a rock, no other issues, so it is definitely a glitch in payroll IMHO. It's more annoying than a major issue.
I've also been having Sage payroll randomly kicking me out. Spoke to Sage who eventually came to the conclusion that it must be an environment issue and didn't want anything to do with it. I've had our IT company working on this ever since and we've come up short. Yesterday we tried the updates to sage accounts renaming the dll file etc...still no joy.
We have, however, seemingly found a workaround.....our payroll is guaranteed to crash when I click on either IR Secure Mailbox or Full Payment Submission. I've found that if I click Enter payments before I click the IR Secure Mailbox it works. Same for when I get to the Full Payment Submission....I backtrack on my payroll, click Enter Payments then the Full Payment Submission also works. It's almost like engaging the Enter Payments userform give's it a nudge to stop crashing.
I appreciate it's far from an actual solution but it's keeping our payroll processing times much more reasonable than before where it's taken us up to 2 days to run a 30 minute payroll. I also appreciate this might not work for others but thought it was worth sharing.
Worth a try , thank you
It's probably worth adding that I have to click "Save/Next" at least once when the form is open for this to work. Let me know how it goes!!
We are running Sage Payroll 50, but its crashing after we login, uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared entries from regedit. Still picks up old install details (config file) but still crashes. Any help?
Thanks.
Hi Stephen,
Thanks for using Community Hub.
I'd suggest following this article as a starting point: Software closes when trying to log in to a company >
If the problem persists, I'd then recommend contacting Sage Technical Support so they can troubleshoot and narrow the problem down, typically they'll want to know where the data is held, if more than one company is used / affected, does the demonstration company open?

Hi Stephen, we've not had these issues for some time now....touch wood! I seem to recall we ended up having to uninstall and reinstall sage accounts 50 as well as payroll to find a resolution as they shared some files? Please don't take this as technical advice but if you're using sage accounts, it might be an venue worth exploring. The most frustrating thing throughout was that Sage didn't want to know and blamed our environment the whole time...in the end it wasn't our environment at all!
