How to set stage and status to read only

I want to adjust stage and status to Read Only. I'm not sure where to set the settings because there aren't these 2 fields on the oppotunity page.

Do you have any advice?

Hi

Normally the fields that are inside the Status area of the Opportunity Summary screen are controlled by workflow. Are you using an enabled workflow in your system?

Just so you are aware, the status screen is at OpportunityProgress level, so just select that from the secondary entities drop down and you'll see it.

But just as advised, if you have workflow enabled for Opportunities, it is very easy to control there.
