If you just want to retrieve information, ODBC is easiest, but Advanced requires the Providex ODBC driver be installed where you are running the query..

Please look at using BOI for this.  SData is no longer being updated at this point and eBM Web Services are limited.

If you are new to BOI, please take the Object Interface training course available from Sage University.  This course teaches the basics of BOI and gives you a foundation for doing BOI development.

If you are not familiar with the Sage 100 Data files or want a refresher, you may also want to take the Data Files Structure training.  Understanding the data structure is helpful when working with the business objects.

Not directly, no.  T-Man's suggestions are common ways to bridge to the internet, unless you want to build your own bridge using BOI.

The 3rd party tools exist for a reason: building a bridge is not easy, with a high learning curve (for working with Sage 100's internal processing logic... and each type of transaction you want to work with).  If you want to do one or two things, DIY may be cheaper, but if you are looking for a feature rich integration you may want to look at an existing solution.
