Maybe there's something missing on the record? Can you open the zip code file in data file display and Maintenance and see if it looks like everything is there? Maybe the country code is missing or something.

I tested that zip code on my system and it seems to work fine for me.

In v2020 Sage added improvements for handling international addresses.  This means you must set the country before entering the Zip for the lookup to work.

Your statement did prompt a thought, so I attempted other zip codes and I am having the same results.  All of the alternate zip codes I am entering are producing the same results.

Did something get missed when we upgraded to 2020?

See Kevin's response. He's asking if when you entered the customer's information, did you enter the country first?

For Data File Display and Maintenance (abbreviated DFDM) you go into Library Master Utilities and put in SY_ZIPCODE.

In the new customer record, make sure you set the Country value before typing in the ZIP... and it must be the same code used in Zip Code Maintenance.  ("USA" is not the same as "US").

Also check for problems within State/Province Code Maintenance.

You guys Rock!  Found the Country field right before you posted this...which had a "US" in the field.

Changed the country code to "USA" in the customer whose address I was trying to change and it accepted the zip code...

I am thinking I will do an export of all customers and verify country codes....to check.

I checked this and it is correct (at this time)... However, I cant help but wonder if it wasn't incorrect in the past prior to any upgrades..  about 1/3 of the customers have "US" vs. "USA"...

Shouldnt be too big of a fix...and will help teach users the importance for the future.

Remove access to Company Code Maintenance (deleting "US") and nobody should be able to add it back.
