https://www.irs.gov/instructions/i1099msc  Beginning with tax year 2020, use Form 1099-NEC to report nonemployee compensation.  Sage knowledge base articles 103480 https://csa-support.na.sage.com/knowledgecentral/microsites/redirectaction.do  which also includes links to the supported versions for 1099 NEC 2020.  Must be on 2018.10, 2019.4, 2020.1.  There is also a link to a utility with instructions that you must read to move the data from MISC to NEC correctly.

It sounds like your answer to jryals is "no" - that we won't be able to submit this to the IRS using Box 3. It also seems like you are saying that any client running Sage 100 v2017 or earlier will not be able to submit Nonemployee Compensation using the Aatrix forms. Is that correct?

Other than a rush to upgrade to 2018, '19 or '20 - is there a less painful and stressful path to get this data to the IRS by January 31 for clients on older systems?

I told my customers that they were going to have to manually fill out the 1099-NEC's
