Why would Paperless Office take longer to run during batch closing?

We just completed our upgrade to Sage 100 2015 and noticed right away that posting invoice batches is now blazingly fast (hooray) but that the Paperless Office form generation and emailing is taking much longer than usual (~4 hrs as opposed to 1). Did anyone else experience this or know why this might be?

Perhaps it's not Paperless, but instead credit card transactions being processed through Sage Exchange during the posting process? If you are coming from v4.5 or earlier, how that works has changed.

We don't actually run any credit card transactions through Sage... are you aware of any reports/logs that might narrow down where the time suck is?

At a minimum you shoud be on Sage 100 2015 Product Update 1 and Crystal Reports Service Pack 13.

Sorry, so yes we're on 2015 Update 1, not sure about Crystal though...

Any solution ever on this? We are having a very similar issue with our Sage 100 2016 install. WE have been on it for about a month. Now our batch invoice processing is much slower as it hangs on the connecting to email server message for EACH invoice.

We just upgraded to 2019 and emailing invoices continues to be sooo slow. Does anyone know of a way that the invoices can auto generate after hours?

I know BOI (Business Objects Interface) can do a lot of things, I would imagine that you could have invoices print/email after hours using that. Or just kick it off manually before you leave for the day.

More than once we've set up a 3rd party tool (Visual Cut) to email invoices overnight based on transactions posted that day, but you have to redesign your invoice form to run from an external source (not a Sage 100 work table). The PDF's do not show in Paperless Customer Viewer, but this method works well otherwise. (If you go this route, consider a "do not print" checkbox for DM / CM you don't necessarily want to email).
