Last Cost with Average Valuation Method

All items have a valuation method of average cost.

When enter purchase orders, we want to use last cost.

We do not want to enter vendor price levels.

Is there a way to use last cost in Purchase Order Entry, maybe using a script?

I tried the script below, but it's not working.

Maybe there is something wrong with the syntax.

Any ideas are appreciated!

retVal = 0
last_cost=0

retVal = oBusObj.GetValue("LastTotalUnitCost", last_cost)

retVal = oBusObj.SetValue("UnitCost", last_cost)

I think something is wrong with the line where I'm trying to get the last cost from CI_Item.

Does "oBusObj" need to be something else when getting values from the item master file?

retVal = oBusObj.GetValue("LastTotalUnitCost", last_cost)
