Hi Chris,  are you able to use the Excel ribbon to eliminate external links rather than using the shortcut? 

If not, is the report you are using, that does not allow alt-E-K, a Sage Intelligence standard report (that is, a copy of a Sage Intelligence standard report)?  Have you tried using alt-E-K on a newly created report  - not a Standard Sage Intelligence report?

Here is a link I found https://www.sumproduct.com/thought/locating-links.  The issue is a different one but explanation for using the ribbon is included. 

I don't think SI protected the sheets.  Not sure about that. 

Nope, I missed that.  However, it's greyed out.
