I would do something like the following If Last Cost <> 0 Then (Standard Price - Last Cost)/Last Cost Else 0.  That will prevent the Div Zero message.

I agree I just could not figure out the syntax that would work in the formula editor.

I am interested to see your actual formula. I tried

If "CI_Item"."LastTotalUnitCost"<>0
Then (("CI_Item"."StandardUnitPrice"-"CI_Item"."LastTotalUnitCost")/"CI_Item"."LastTotalUnitCost")
Else 0

and get this error

I thought you were working with Crystal Reports.  In BIE, there is no IF function, but you can do this to try and fool the system:

 (("CI_Item"."StandardUnitPrice"-"CI_Item"."LastTotalUnitCost")/("CI_Item"."LastTotalUnitCost"+.0001))

That should prevent a divsion by zero.

This is the formula I ended up using and it seemed to work well enough.

(("CI_Item"."StandardUnitPrice"-"CI_Item"."LastTotalUnitCost")/("CI_Item"."LastTotalUnitCost"+.0001))*100

Good catch, the x100 will make sure it shows in the proper percentage form rather than the decimal equivalent.  Glad it worked for you.
