In most accounting software programs, when you create a document, you are able to click on any line to drill down. I do not see such an ability with Sage 100. What am I missing?

What are you trying to look at past the line level? And which document are you talking about.
For example, I am looking at a financial statement (P&L or BS) and want to click on a line item. Or I am looking at an AR or AP and want to see the details of an item. In many other software packages, I would click on the line item to drill down.

Difference in technology. The reports in Sage 100 are Crystal reports and do not have drill down capabilities when viewing.
