64-bit Excel and BIE

We have a Sage 100 ERP 2014 on Terminal Server with 64-Bit Excel. Everything seems to work EXCEPT the Business Insights Explorer.

Is BIE really incompatible with v2014, or am I missing something?

It could be the 64 bit Excel.  Have you tried it with 32 Bit Excel?  I've had issues with 64 Bit Excel and SAGE Intelligence that was resolved with 32 Bit Excel...

I am trying to confirm that we must go back to 32-bit before we do this. I know it works with 32-bit.

Hi,  No, you do not have to go to 32-bit office to use BIE.   Sage 100 2014 BIE is compatible w/Office x64.

Can you provide details on the issue you are experiencing?

What Version of Office is being used?

What SP is installed on Sage 100 2014

    What OS is the TS?

The only issue I am aware of is detailed below.

    KB 53091

MS Office 2013 64 bit users are now able to export data to Microsoft Access Database (.accdb) from Business Insights Explorer. Users may run into issues if the 2010 access drivers have not been installed. To correct this, download and install the following:

    John,

I am the consultant working with Jerry on this incident.  I saw the Sage KB article about this 32 bit MS Access Database and I downloaded it and tried to install it.  I received an error saying:

You cannot install the 32-bit version of Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 because you currently have 64-bit Office products installed.  If you want to install 32-bit Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010, you will first need to remove the 64-bit installation of Office products.  After uninstalling the following product(s), rerun setup in order to install 32-bit version of Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010:

    Microsoft Office Standard 2010

This appears to be saying that we must uninstall the 64-bit before installing this 32-bit engine.  This leads me to believe that they are incompatible.

They currently have MS Office 2010 on a terminal server running Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise.

    John:

The KB article says this is a problem with Office 2013 64-bit. Is it also a confirmed problem with Office 2010 64-bit? The latter is what we are dealing with.

As Chuck explained, the 32-bit DB Engine won't install. It throws an error message (which I would post, but this forum doesn't permit attachments(!?). "You cannot install the 32-bit version of MS Acces db engine 2010 because you currently have 64-bit Office products installed...."

According to Sage KB 30531, for Office 2013 64-bit: "Select AccessDatabaseEngine.exe (x86 version of drivers)"  No mention of either Office 2010 64-bit or db Engine 64-bit.

If the 64-bit DB Engine will work with 2010, why doesn't the Sage KB article say so? Please confirm.

We downloaded and installed the 64-bit version. No errors on install, but BIE still does NOT work.

    Suggestions?

    Hi

Please provide the "file version" of   (Right click Properties |Details)

I'll be glad to take a look. Thanks John
