Rebuilding Sort Files Automatically

Once every 1-2 weeks or so I have to get in after hours to rebuild sort files, in our old business system a similar process was scheduled to run each night. Does anyone out there have a script or other method that would allow for scheduling a rebuild of sort files?

I would love it if we could do that myself,  but I'm not aware of a way to do it.  :(

This would be a good one to put on the suggestions site and get everyone to vote for it.

    Update:

I just put it on the ideas site.   Go vote for it!

What version of the Sage 100 ERP product are you using?  Why do you need to rebuild sort files every night?  This is a utility to fix data that has issues so we should be looking for the source of the issue.

We are using Sage 100 2014 Advanced ERP version 5.10.1.0. We don't necessarily have to rebuild them every night but usually once every 1-2 weeks we will notice that calculations are off, usually we notice this in Item Maintenance. The quantities on the main tab of item maintenance don't match up with the real data, quantity on sales order for instance has been off. We run a rebuild of the sort files and it does a recalculation and it fixes it. There are a ton of transactions done each day in the system and some of them are offsite done over a VPN so I have been assuming there are just occasional transmission errors.
