If the description is missing it is my guess you tried to customize the report and somehow deleted the field or did something to cause the field to not show up.

Do you know where the default location for the report is located?  I don't think anyone modified it but I'd like to double check.

Look in the reports folder.  There should be a big long list of reports.   Naming convention is fairly obvious.

I looked at the file and it hasn't been modified since our sage install date (it's attached in a zip)

There are no options when closing a batch to select the form.

Look in the Reports folder under MAS_XXX (where XXX is the company code) to see if there is a newer version.

I took a look at the report and it appears that the Item Code field is on top of the Item Description field. Go into the report and move the Item Description field over to the right until it is no longer under the Item Code field.

Do you by any chance have the Expanded Item Code feature turned on? I noticed that the Item Code Description is being suppressed if this is turned on.

Just closed today's batch and the edit in Crystal Reports did not work.

I think you are down to the point where you need to decide if the problem is in the crystal report itself or whether the data being provided to the report is the culprit.   If the data being provided doesn't have the info then the crystal report won't do anything.

Preview the report to the screen.   Then use DFDM to look at the temporary work file being created and see if  the description is present.

Tom-  I apologize but I have no idea what the DFDM screen is.  Could you point me to a tutorial perhaps? We're on version 4.5

This should be used with extreme caution!  I suspect that if you don't know what it is you might want to work with your Sage partner on this.

HI, Please try the attached report. It is a modified version of the report you uploaded.  Copy to the \mas90\reports folder.  There was a suppression formula on the ItemCodeDesc in GH #2b that is incorrect.
