Graphic no longer is correct on Crystal Form in v2016

Upgraded a v2015 to v2016 Sage 100 Standard. On forms (SO Invoice, AR Statements, etc) there is a company logo in the header. It is nothing extreme, single color (black). The forms worked fine before.

Now the form print previews just fine. Design Mode is fine and shows correctly . However, print to Paperless pdf results in the logo graphic area always printing as completely black. So with the upgrade, the company forms for its customers are just a black blob if printed to pdf.

Clearly this is some sort of problem created by the pdf printer driver in v2016. What can we do about this?

Within Crystal Reports, open File - Report Options and toggle the checkbox for Retain Original Image Color Depth, to see if that changes things.

Interesting result, but no go.
- The graphic is black on white.
- My original problem was the logo all black, but the logo barely darker to faintly make out the logo against the all-black smudge.
- With this switch on, I get the reverse. The graphic is completely white, with faint traces of black outlining the logo. Still unusable.

Any other ideas?

Is there a better dll we could use?

OK, when that doesn't work, I've done image conversion to a different format (.bmp, .png, .jpg...), then inserting the graphic again until I find something that works.

Try selecting the "no printer" option under File - Page Setup.

Thanks! The minimum that works is
1. convert graphic to png.
2. Enable Retain Original Color Depth. (Without this, the png is still a black blob)

Basically I conclude that the pdf driver in v2016 is designed to handle the newer png format.

Have a client with the exact same situation. Hopefully this will do it.

What's really odd about their situation is that if you print one invoice, it works fine. Multiple invoices, it does the "blob". After experimenting a bit we had fixed it so that the first page of an invoice was ok, but subsequent pages had the blob.
