Update:  I did discover that by making one of my 1600x900 monitor the primary it enables medium size.  Interestingly enough the increase in size of the window above is about double.  It fills up my 1366 x 768 resolution monitor.

Also discovered that the client had 1600x900 but had increased the font size from 100% to 125% which kept them from going to medium.  Sad part is that it was working just perfectly for them before.  Oddly enough I thought that particular setting did not impact the new standard menu and windows?  They are needing the 125% because other applications are too small on their monitors.

I think that we need the ability to override for these kinds of situations.

I found clicking default then going back into scaling suddenly enabled "medium" as an option. I'm not sure why or if it was a bug. The user was not on 100c. 

I was told that non-Sage 100c users would no longer have this functionality, starting with 2017 PU2.

Hi,

The launcher has been modified so that only applicable scaling levels are enabled. This is done dynamically, allowing us to pick up changes when (a) switching the app between monitors and/or (b) the OS display scaling is changed.

Modifying the Windows text size is taken into consideration when determining which scaling levels to display.

If multiple monitors are utilized with different display settings, the scaling levels are enabled by monitor.
 
Included is a change to open the screens on the monitor they were last closed (dual monitor issue) If scaling is changed screens will be forced back to the Primary Monitor, otherwise screens will open on the monitor they were last closed on.

Kevin - I am not aware of any restriction on these changes to non-Sage 100c users.  Scaling was added as an available feature regardless of c or non-c with the 2017 release.

Not sure what you mean by detecting dynamically?  On my system is seems to be detecting the primary monitor and limiting the options available based on it.

Tried moving Sage 100 to my 34" monitor and it continued to limit the scaling to default.

I think we need to have the ability to override this automatic restrictions on scaling..  My client was having no difficulties at all prior to this improvement.

Scaling settings are enabled based on the Resolution and the Windows Text Size -  by monitor.

For Example:

Monitor 1
Resolution: 1600 x 900
Text Size:100%
Sage 100 Scaling Sizes Available
Default and Medium

Monitor 2
Resolution: 1600 x 900
Text Size:125%
Sage 100 Scaling Sizes Available
Default

I understand that, but why would I be getting a restriction on my 3440 x 1440 secondary monitor?  My primary monitor is currently 1600x900 monitor.  Restrictions seem to be coming from it, not where Sage 100 is currently located.
