There is no way to recover the password that I know,  but there is a technique to change the password to one that is known.

However, for obvious security reasons that knowledge is not going to be posted on an open forum like this.

Call Sage Support or a your Sage Partner (note,  all partners may not know the trick -  I learned it from years of experience).

Call Support to reset the 4.05 Administrator password. 800-854-3415

The answer if dink simple if you think about it for a minute.

Wow that was pretty easy.   Took some time, but as you said, if you just think it through, and think in terms of a database, voila.. saved me a support call and a royal pain in the tush  which likely wouldve taken up half the day tomorrow..
