Just upgraded to Office 2016 and can no longer send reports to Excel.

Just upgraded one of our users to Office 2016. The button he used to send reports to Excel is no longer working. It is just a gray box. Any ideas on how to get this back?

I recall the fix involves copying the Excel.exe from one folder to the other, Office12 to Office14, for example. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You are somewhat correct Rhonda. The issue is that it is looking for the old location instead of the new location. You have to edit the registry to correct. But you do as Rhonda suggest also.
