Desktop Tree View Not Working

How do I make the tree view show up on the right hand side where the Desktop is?  When I click on a module on the left nothing populates on the right where the tree view should be.

  • On the menu at the top (File | Modules | My Tasks| View | Help) select View and make sure that Show Tasks is checked.

Thanks Tom. It is checked. I toggled it on and off and the only effect is the Task list on the left disappointing and reappearing. There was no effect to the tree view for the Task tab on the right.
  • Greetings,

It would help to know what version of Sage 100 are you running? If this is 2016 are you using the new launcher (available with subscription) or the classic launcher?

If you are running the new 2016 launcher and your menu is not displaying, then verify the Role Maintenance settings for the user and makes sure that there are options selected under the Tasks tab in Role Maintenance.

Another thing to try is to go to FILE-RUN and type SY_MENU_UI then click OK. This will open the User Menu Maintenance utility. Click Accept in Menu Maintenance and that will rebuild the Desktop menu files.

If that does not help then it may be that your menu files are corrupt and if that is the case, you may need to reinstall. I would recommend that you reach out to your Sage Reseller/Partner or Sage Customer Support for assistance.

    Thank you,
    Kent

I think your Sage Partner taking a first hand look might be helpful as Kent indicated. Your description doesn't quite make sense to me. A picture is worth a thousand words. So being able to see what you are describing would help and probably get it resolved in a minute.
