Missed punch in 2018 Time Track (Time Card) - Shift Maintenance - Unable to Edit?

Working with the new Time Track in 2018 and am trying to adjust missed punch settings in shift maintenance.

For some reason these fields are greyed out and cannot be modified?

Help files don't seem to suggest that something else must be turned on to make this work that I can see.

I tried setting up a new shift and these minimum hours per workday is enabled but still no ability to set elapsed time for a missed punch or the earnings code for a missed punch.

Unable to find anything in Time Track or Payroll options,  role maintenance that seems on point and I have full rights anyway.

I imagine I could edit by going to data file display and maintenance,  but that really doesn't seem the right way to go.

What simple thing am I missing?

    Greetings,

You aren't missing anything.  Those fields are disabled on purpose because we had some work to do implement them that did not make the initial release. Those fields will be accessible with the next Payroll Update 2.18.2 which should be released this month.  I think the target for the release is June 19th but don't hold me to that date.

    Thanks,

    Thanks for the info Kent.

The client was also asking about Exceptions that would normally print out on the Time Track Report (there doesn't seem to be exception maintenance anymore) and the Rapid Entry feature and rapid entry delay.

Is that in the works also?

    Greetings.

We removed Exception Maintenance and it is not currently something we have plans to bring back.  If we get customer feedback indicating that this is a critical need we will re-evaluate.  Please add this as a suggestion on the ideas site if it is a critical feature for you or your customers.

The Rapid entry function has mostly been built in to the new Time Clock.  It will default to the next logical action but the employee still needs to accept the entry. This was done to provide flexibility and prevent automatic entry of incorrect actions.

    Thanks,

So does the new Time Track report  exceptions?  Just no Exception maintenance (I could understand that).

The thing that my client was complaining about is that there isn't a delay setting like there is in the old version.  They want to have the results display temporarily instead of immediately closing out after the punch.

You can setup an earnings code for missed punch, unscheduled leave and absent hours in Shift Maintenance. There is no specific exception report but earnings codes can be used for this.

There is no delay but the entries are available in Punch in/out as view only.  It displays the current day punch entries or the last punch from the previous day.

    Thanks,
