Need reference for Inventory Module/Cost Accounting in Sage 100

We are considering purchasing this module to use for a new manufacturing division that is schedule to open soon.  I was hoping to get some advice on how the installation went well or poorly for your organization and whether you would recommend the purchase.  We are primarily a service organization, this will be our first experience in cost accounting.  If anyone would be interested in a quick call, please email me at [email protected].  It would be much appreciated.

Yes, we do. We are asking them as well. I was hoping to get an "uncensored" opinion.

I hear you! :-D The more info you can provide others on your manufacturing, the better. Sage 100 is ideally positioned for light manufacturing (read: assembling). A bit less so for process manufacturing. Will you be making everything to stock, or custom? Do you want to track labor? Do you need to book the labor to payroll?
There's a well informed manufacturer that posts here, ? And an end user who knows his stuff.

We are compounding drugs for use in hospitals - anticipating up to a half million units for this year, growing to a million in 2018. A very specific "formula" with some variations. We are going to try to integrate the manufacturing software, which does not include costs with Sage. We are at early stages in this process, but we were impressed with the functionality in Sage when our reseller demoed it for us.
