Integration of Bottle Deposit with Item Codes

Has anyone explored the possibility of implementing a bottle deposit system and integrating it with item codes in Sage 100 to streamline calculation and invoicing processes?

This is probably a scripting project. I'm sure this could be coded to always add a deposit (item code) if a specific item code was added to an order.
