Yes, the 2016 IRD should be installed prior to year-end processing AND after the product update 1 for version 2016. Please see knowledgebase article 49810 for important information as well as our year-end center http://sagecity.na.sage.com/ for the NEW 1/31/2017 filing dates, the Aatrix deadlines to meet these dates and additional information. Do NOT install the 2017Q1 Tax Table updates until you need to do the first payroll in 2017.

I have Sage 100 2015 Update 4. For future reference, do I need to wait until after the last payroll of the year is done before installing the IRD?

Sage 100 2017, Sage 100 2016 Update 1 (5.30.1), Sage 100 2015 Update 3 (5.20.3), Sage 100 2014 Update 7 (5.10.7). IRD's should be installed prior to running the year-end reports. They contain changes for 1099s and ACA. And the PU and URD should be installed prior to printing W2's/1099's.

I was finally able to download the IRD. Was there a system issue yesterday?

Could one of them be a Sage 100 Tax Table Update? The IRD should have title "Sage 100 End of Year IRD2016.exe"

They both have that title, but one has no spaces between the words.

Maybe it was unzipped twice? I really don't have an answer but would be happy to look at it if you let me know how to contact you for a live connect session. Or open a case with the installation team if needed.

I have noticed the same thing. If you try to open the one with no spaces, it extracts another copy of the update without the two copies. It seems that the update got zipped into itself?

This happens to me every time also, not just on this latest IRD.

Inside the folder "Sage 100 End of Year IRD2016" There are the following three files:

"2016 Year-end Update Release Notes for Sage100.pdf"
"Sage 100 End of Year IRD2016.exe" Dated 12/9/2016 file size 3,844 kb, this one has a green Icon with an "S" in it.
"Sage100EndofYearIRD2016.exe" Dated 12/15/2016 file size 2,895kb, this one has a green Icon with a Snowflake in it.

Don't know why, but I usually just install the newest one and it always works. I'm not unzipping twice, anyway not that I'm aware of.
