Have you ever seen this message when posting a batch from the batch list window?
“Post in Progress”
When you see this status, it probably means that your patch did not get posted. The reason this status is displayed is because that the batch posting process got interrupted or is incomplete.
We have some steps to follow that should resolve this issue and get your batches to start posting again.
- Re-post the batch again. If that does not resolve the issue, there is a possibility that the restart.ism file or database is corrupted
- Run the Sage 300 ERP scan ISAM utility to check for any *.ism file corruption. If prompted to fix any files, click OK
- If the scan ISAM utility returns no error(s), have all users log out of Sage 300 ERP
- Rename the Restart.ism file located in the Sage 300 ERP Shared Data SITE directory. By default, in Sage 300 ERP 2012, the Restart.ism file is located in the following path: C:\Program Files\Sage\Sage 300 ERP\SITE
- Log back into your company to recreate the Restart.ism file with default settings
- Post the batch again
If you follow these steps to recreate the restart.ism file and it still doesn’t resolve the batch status, this means your data is corrupted. If that is the case, restore from a backup prior to posting the Post in Progress batch. If restoring from backup is not possible, then we recommend that you contact a data repair specialist to repair the data.
