Error message in Sage 300 2019 and the Payroll Modules: A problem occurred and a valid license for this product cannot be found

We have a client getting this error message in Sage 300 2019 , and the Payroll Modules:A problem occurred and a valid license for this product cannot be found"  Does anyone have any suggestions.  Payroll is version 7.3

    Thank you for your post , and for your answers  & . The Sage 300 Support team advised the following as well:

    • The most current product update needs to be in place for the version installed (2019 PU2 or 2018 PU5)
    • The current System Manager serial number needs to be applied to the client’s installed copy of Sage 300 (depending on your access, this number should be visible in the Customer Portal or Partner Portal page)
    • The current system manager serial number will be for the 2020 version.  This can be applied to the client’s install even if they have 2019 or 2018, as long as they are on a current product update.
    • Once the system manager serial number has been applied, the “refresh” button should be pressed
