How to deactivate old fixed asset accounts

Hello, I need to deactivate fixed asset accounts that are no longer in use and have fully capitalized through accumulated depreciation accounts. Both fixed asset and accumulated depreciation GLs have a balance. Even though they balance each other out, I assume the system won't allow purging.

How I can deactivate these fixed asset GLs?

Thanks

If you wish to exclude the account (with zero balance) on the Balance Sheet report, you can manually deselect the account when running the report.
    1. On the report's page, click Customize Report.
    2. Click Filters.
    3. Look for Account under Choose Filter.
    4. Under Account, select Multiple accounts.
