Finder problem in 2017

Anyone else seeing the problem with finder customisation in 2017?  We have found it in all installs so far as follows.

Choose any finder.

Remove or add columns through settings

Result - the grid updates but the drop down 'find by' list does not.

    For my test I opened the AR Customer finder, added Inactive Date and found it on the drop down right afterwards.

    How many fields are being displayed in the drop down? Perhaps that is where the limitation resides?
